IVECO. Magirus firefighting division sold to German investment fund Mutares.

IVECO has sold the Magirus firefighting division to the German fund Mutares. An operation which will weigh negatively on the 2025 accounts for 115 million euros and which has seen the abandonment of the CEO of the division Thomas Hilse who will no longer remain in the Turin Group either. The parent company Exor, after Comau, also sells this historic piece of the company.

The decision of Exor, the financial company of the Agnelli family, or rather of John Elkann, is linked to a clear need to monetize the sale of various assets by the parent company. This operation is part of the recent sale of Comau to the American fund One Equity Partners.

In fact, Iveco loses one of its most prestigious historical pieces. And this happens after the insistent rumors of an imminent sale of the Defense branch to Leonardo. But before the military vehicles the closing came for the historic firefighting brand which becomes German.
