Leonardo will equip the new frigates of the German Navy

The new frigates of the German Navy will be equipped with Leonardo's Oto 127/64 LightWeight (LW) Vulcano naval defense systems; the agreement between the manufacturer of defensive systems and Damen, a German vessel builder, includes support and maintenance services, simulators for crew training and on-board activities for integration and commissioning.
The Oto 127/64 LW Vulcano is a technologically sophisticated and completely digitalized system that ensures constant support to operators and the on-board Combat Management System for the calculation of firing solutions during mission planning, allowing a ship's defense capability up to 85 km distance with metric accuracy.
